Online paid concert…7.5 times more than offline
One performance, 2.47 billion won in sales
Attention is focusing on whether the online paid performance will be a breakthrough.
SM Entertainment’s first online-only paid concert “Beyond Live,” which was attempted for the first time in the world, has raised expectations for growth as a new concert business.
According to SM on the 27th, “Super M – Beyond the Future” of SM’s joint group “Super M,” which was broadcast live on Naver V LIVE from 3 p.m. (11 p.m. on the 25th) the previous day, was watched simultaneously by 75,000 people from 109 countries.
I watched the concert in Korea as well as in the United States, Britain, Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, France, Canada, Germany, Australia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Turkey, Austria, Hungary, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Indonesia.
Considering that concerts by popular idol groups are usually held at an average of 10,000 people per episode, one performance attracted 7.5 times more audiences than offline.
Even calculating the minimum payment unit of 33,000 won, the company recorded 2.47 billion won in sales. As a result, “Beyond Live,” in which SM collaborated with Naver, is expected to be a breakthrough in online paid performances here.
VDO tickets cost about four minutes and one minute to actually attend the concert. If you can watch it comfortably without incurring additional transportation costs, and if you can access new songs and unreleased songs like this SuperM concert, you can get an offline concert and other merit.
Nor is the stage lax. It introduced Live Sync Camera Walking (AR) which is connected to camera walking and actual space, and presented the stage with various spaces that are implemented in real-time 3D graphics.
