Brazen Robbery: Thousands of Dollars Worth of Pokémon Cards Stolen After Thief Breaks Through Shop Wall

A Hemet game shop fell victim to a daring heist as a thief broke into their store through a wall, making off with over $10,000 worth of rare Pokémon cards.

A Hemet-based game shop, Pozjoker Games, is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a thief who executed a brazen robbery on May 25. Surveillance footage revealed the audacious act, showing a man emerging from behind the store’s wall. The suspect, wearing a light-colored hoodie and shorts, with a goatee, effortlessly gained access to the shop through the wall.

In a matter of minutes, the thief navigated through cabinets and shelves, targeting the valuable Pokémon card collection. The shop, located in a plaza with an adjacent empty storefront, suffered a breach in its wall as the thief reportedly broke into the neighboring vacant space before creating an entryway into Pozjoker Games.

The stolen loot amounted to more than $10,000 worth of rare and graded Pokémon cards. The store’s social media post featured images of the stolen cards, including iconic Pokémon like Charizard, Venasaur, and Blastoise. Pozjoker Games took the opportunity to alert fellow stores in the vicinity, urging them to contact either the shop or the police if they encountered someone attempting to sell similar cards.

Interestingly, this incident marked the second time the store experienced a break-in through the same wall. Following a previous attempt five years ago, the shop reinforced its defenses with a protective grid. However, the determined thief still managed to bypass these measures, leaving the store owners seeking justice for the significant loss.

As the search for the suspect continues, Pozjoker Games remains hopeful that the community’s assistance and vigilance will lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator and the recovery of their prized Pokémon card collection.
