In an extraordinary turn of events, South Carolina law enforcement authorities made two arrests linked to drug-related offenses after uncovering a surprising hiding spot for cocaine—a counterfeit pregnant belly supposedly worn by one of the suspects.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office recently disclosed that its Special Investigation Division and Directed Patrol Unit were engaged in proactive patrolling along Interstate 85 when they pulled over Anthony Miller and Cemeka Mitchem. The deputies grew suspicious when Miller and Mitchem provided conflicting information regarding Mitchem’s purported due date.
As the deputies’ skepticism heightened, Mitchem, realizing the mounting suspicion, made a desperate attempt to flee, inadvertently causing the drugs to spill out from the rubber prosthetic belly.
