Dallas Murder Suspects Apprehended Near US-Mexico Border in California

Two suspects in a Dallas murder were arrested near the US-Mexico border in California. They are charged with murder in a homicide earlier this month.

Two suspects in a Dallas murder were arrested at a California checkpoint near the U.S.-Mexico border. Christopher Torres and Victoria Vargas Zuniga are charged with murder in a homicide earlier this month in Dallas’ Red Bird neighborhood.

On April 8, Andy Rangel was shot and killed outside a gas station in Dallas. Police released a sketch of one of the suspects and a video of a Buick Rendezvous leaving the scene with a male suspect and a female driver.

On Sunday, the suspects were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection during a checkpoint search. They are being held in the Imperial County Jail in El Centro, California, and are expected to be extradited back to Dallas.
