Domestic Violence Incident Results in Double Shooting in Palmdale, California

Two people were killed and one injured in a shooting in Palmdale. Authorities believe it was a domestic violence incident. The shooter committed suicide.

Authorities in Los Angeles County are currently investigating a fatal double shooting that reportedly resulted from a domestic violence incident in Palmdale. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of Solmira Place in Palmdale shortly after 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds. The man and woman, believed to be between the ages of 55 and 60, were pronounced dead at the scene. It is suspected that the man, in a tragic murder-suicide, took the life of the woman before taking his own.

The third victim, a teenage son of the female victim, was transported to a hospital for treatment. Family members at the scene suggested that he was injured while attempting to defend his mother against her partner.
