Driver Survives 500 Feet Plunge Over California Cliff

A driver was rescued after plunging more than 500 feet off a California cliff. The driver suffered major injuries.

A driver’s day turned into a nightmare when their car careened off a cliff and fell more than 500 feet down a ravine at Mt. Tamalpais in California. Luckily, three Airforce Airmen were witnesses to the crash and immediately went down to help the driver. They alerted authorities, and a Marin County fire captain arrived to rappel down to the vehicle to provide life-saving measures while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

The driver was rescued and taken to a local hospital with major injuries. The car was stopped from further falling by a tree, which prevented a more disastrous outcome.
