The FBI has announced its successful efforts to disrupt a global malware network known as “Snake” that has been active for the past 20 years. The network, linked to Russian intelligence agency, FSB, has been targeting US government agencies, NATO, tech companies, and media professionals.
The FBI has been working in conjunction with agencies in over 50 countries to dismantle the group’s operations. Known for its advanced hacking techniques and high levels of evasion, the group has been considered one of the most difficult adversaries to deal with.
