Former LAPD Officer Faces Child Sexual Abuse Charges, Authorities Seek Potential Additional Victims

A former Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer, Paul Razo, has been arrested and charged with child sexual abuse, with authorities suspecting the existence of more victims. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department disclosed that Razo is accused of multiple acts of assault against children, leading to the filing of eight counts of lewd acts against a child by the LA District Attorney’s office on May 5.

According to officials, the alleged assaults occurred between 2007 and 2016 while Razo resided in Covina. Given the nature of the allegations and Razo’s access to children, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims, prompting an ongoing investigation.

The case is actively being investigated by law enforcement authorities. Individuals with any relevant information are urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau at 877-710-5273 or via email at specialvictimsbureau@lasd.org.
