Heartbreaking Discovery: Fetus Found Abandoned at Whittier Narrows Park

A man found a fetus with an umbilical cord attached near a trash can at Whittier Narrows Park. Authorities are investigating the case.

In what can only be described as a heartbreaking discovery, a fetus was found abandoned at Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte. A man who was walking through the park made the discovery early in the morning.

Authorities were quickly called to the scene, and they determined that the baby was a boy who appeared to be between six to seven months into the gestational period. The baby still had an umbilical cord attached, as well as a placenta.

Lt. Hugo Reynaga, who is with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, said that there were no signs of blood in the area. This led officials to believe that someone brought the baby to the park and left him there.

The sheriff’s department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. They have also brought in a bloodhound to try and track down the person who left the baby. It is a crime to abandon a child, but officials are also concerned for the mother’s well-being.

If the baby was alive before being left at the park, the mother could have surrendered him at any hospital or fire station. One fire station is less than a mile away from the park. The sheriff’s department is hoping that someone will come forward with information so that they can get to the bottom of this tragic situation.

Whittier Narrows Park is a popular destination for families, and this tragedy has left many in the community in shock. The authorities are determined to find out who is responsible for this heartbreaking act, and they are asking for the public’s help.
