Hello~ This is Kim SI HUN, who is in charge of the BDC leader, Red Light.

Hello! I’m SEONG JUN, sweet voice of BDC^^.

JUNG HWAN

Hi. I am JUNG HWAN, who is in charge of the height of the team.

Q.  You’ve made a comeback with “MOONLIGHT” in about four months since your last album “MOON RIDER.” How have you been?

SI HUN

Even during “MOON RIDER,” we were preparing the next album. And I was so happy that we held fan meetings autograph sessions with fans.

SEONG JUN

We were pretty busy having on and offline fan meetings and diligently preparing for the album!

JUNG HWAN

As we made our comeback right away, we prepared for our 3rd EP and held a fan meeting.

# about__THE INTERSECTION : CONTACT

Q. This album, “THE INTERSECTION : CONTACT” is the last story of BDC’s trilogy! Can you guys introduce us to the album?

SEONG JUN

This album [THE INTERSECTION : CONTACT] is the last album for, “THE INTERSECTION” trilogy series. It tells the story of CONTACT, which goes beyond the previous albums, BELIEF, and DISCOVERY, leading to the inevitable force that attracts each other. It’s an album full of music that maximizes each member’s charms and harmony of our members. “MOONLIGHT,” the title track, is a song that maximizes the dreamy image of the moonlight with our voices and draws a mysterious atmosphere. 

Q. The title track, “MOONLIGHT” has an addictive melody. it’s stuck in my head ever since I’ve heard it. The track has a different vibe to the music from the last album. How did you feel when you first heard the demo version?

SI HUN

I thought, “Wow, this song is great!” It sounded like a pop song, and I thought it was really trendy.

SEONG JUN

It felt really fresh since it wasn’t our usual style of music. And I was curious how it would change if we sang it after listening to the guide version.

JUNG HWAN

It felt like I was listening to a trendy, sophisticated pop song.

Q. I heard that each member has a symbolic point and color. And also I think it’s also related to your hair color, what does it stand for?

SI HUN

Each of us used colors tailored to the lyrics of “MOONLIGHT” and objects associated with René Magritte’s work. I added an artistic side by adding pink, brown hair, and complimentary green apple through the lyric, “Tonight is the night of dissipating limelight.”

SEONG JUN

I used yellow hair and yellow roses as an object through the lyrics, “Your Light.”

JUNG HWAN

I got blue hair from the lyrics, “Up in the faded blue sky,” and the complementary orange fish became my symbol.

Q. In the previous M/V, black and white colors were the main colors. But in “MOONLIGHT,” the colors were dreamy and the atmosphere was quite different from before. What were the main things you guys wanted to show through the M/V?

BDC

Unlike the previous music videos, “MOONLIGHT” is a fashion film-type music video that uses symbolic objects and colors, and we wanted to show you a different look with more colorful colors.

Q. After the trilogy, are there any spoilers or plans for the next album? Would you show us a new series of albums?

SI HUN

Since we are meeting a new world now, I think there would be a whole new story with a whole new world.

SEONG JUN

I don’t know…I mean, even though I knew, I don’t know…But really, I don’t know…Haha

JUNG HWAN

I’m afraid I don’t know much, but I think the stories about us will continue^^

# about__BDC and Behind Stories

Q. BDC members spent at least two to three years as trainees. What is the biggest difference between when you were trainees and now?

SI HUN

First of all, we can appeal our opinions to our company and don’t have a practice that’s set, so we were flexible than other trainees. That was the good part.

SEONG JUN

I was a trainee for about nine months, but I lacked skills and wasn’t very patient at that time. So maybe that’s why I have a lot of greed now, and I want to continue to improve myself.

JUNG HWAN

I think I have a wider perspective on music. I used to listen to songs that I liked, but now I’m interested in various genres.

Q. All three members were in PRODUCE 101. Were you close to each other back then? Did you ever think you would be a group like now?

SI HUN

I was so focused on the show at that time, and I had not thought about it. Haha

SEONG JUN

Of course, we were close, and it was fun. It was chaotic, and I didn’t know a thing. So I couldn’t think of a future for us.

JUNG HWAN

I think we got closer while shooting the show, and I definitely thought we would debut together no matter what.

Q. I think you guys would know each other very well. What kind of habits have you recognized from each other?

SI HUN

JUNG HWAN always keeps his stomach empty before going on stage or recording, and SEONG JUN rolls up like a Gimbap when he sleeps.

SEONG JUN

JUNG HWAN doesn’t eat much right before going on stage? I don’t think I and SI HUN have a special habit.

JUNG HWAN

SI HUN touches his ears a lot, and SEONG JUN rolls up the blanket and makes himself a Gimbap when he sleeps.

Q. Teamwork is very important as a group. Sometime’s you guys could be worn out and hit bottom, but also together doubling the joy. What are BDC’s know-hows to build teamwork?

SI HUN

We shout out, “One, two, three Da Capo!” and remind ourselves when we began.

SEONG JUN

We admit that we are different, consider each other, and talk a lot!

JUNG HWAN

It might not be know-how, but I think it’s best to be considerate of each other when we are practicing or preparing for a stage.

#about_Future and Plans

Q. Where or what is the first thing you would like to go or do after the Pandemic is over?

SI HUN

First of all, I want to go step by step from the nearest places!

SEONG JUN

I can’t wait to have a concert!!! I hope we have a chance to meet FINE! I also want to get on a flight abroad. Actually, taking a flight to Jeju Island when I was in 2nd grade was the first and last time on a flight. Haha

JUNG HWAN

I really want to have a concert of fan meeting face to face, and I really want to go to the beach when the Pandemic is over. I personally really like the sea.

Q. Is there any genre or concept you would like to challenge in the future?

SI HUN

I would like to try a really sexy concept!

SEONG JUN

An emotional song, a bright song, a love song…?

JUNG HWAN

I would like to start Hip-hop again.

Q. What kind of group would you want to be remembered ten years later?

SI HUN

All-round idol! I hope we could be good at everything and be a fun group.

SEONG JUN

I hope our music could remind people of those days and be nostalgic artists! I hope people would miss us that much and find us again until we become that kind of artist, fighting!

JUNG HWAN

I would like to be remembered as an artist. I think it’s the best modifier for people who make music.
