Jamie Foxx Shares Gratitude After Medical Scare

Actor Jamie Foxx speaks out for the first time after hospitalization for undisclosed "medical complication," while Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne take over hosting duties on "Beat Shazam."

Jamie Foxx, the actor and producer known for his roles in “Django Unchained” and “Ray,” has broken his silence following a recent “medical complication.” In April, Foxx was hospitalized, with no details released about his condition.

In an Instagram post, Foxx expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support he’s received during his recovery, writing, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

While Foxx continues to recuperate, Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne will take over his hosting duties on “Beat Shazam.” The popular game show, which premiered in 2017, features two teams competing to identify songs and the Shazam music app.

Cannon will guest host for the show’s sixth season, while Osbourne will take over in the DJ booth for Foxx’s daughter Corinne, who serves as the show’s DJ.

Foxx’s medical condition has not been disclosed, and his daughter previously asked for privacy for the family during this time. Production on the Netflix movie “Back in Action,” which Foxx was filming at the time of his hospitalization, has continued with a body double in place of the actor.

Foxx’s friend, Charles E. Alston, also known as Charlie Mack, asked for prayers for the actor on social media. Despite no further information about his condition being released, fans and colleagues of Foxx are hopeful for his speedy recovery.

As Foxx takes the time to focus on his health, his colleagues and fans wish him the best and continue to support him throughout his recovery.
