Former Los Angeles Lakers player, Pau Gasol, is set to join the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame alongside other basketball icons such as Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, and Gregg Popovich, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The announcement comes after the Lakers retired Gasol’s jersey number, 16, earlier in March, honoring his 18-year career in the NBA. Gasol had his best years with the Lakers, earning three NBA All-Star appearances and two NBA championships with teammate Kobe Bryant.
