Lakers Secure Play-In Spot but Face Tough Road Ahead

The LA Lakers clinched a play-in tournament spot after finishing the regular season as the No. 7 seed, but face a tough road to the playoffs. The team is set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round, and will need to win to advance to the playoffs. If they lose, they will get another chance against the winner of the New Orleans and Oklahoma City play-in game. If they win, they would clinch a playoff spot to face Denver.

The Lakers secure the 7th seed in the NBA playoffs, but have to face a play-in tournament. They win the regular season finale against Utah and sign free agents Tristan Thompson and Shaquille Harrison for added depth.

They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the play-in tournament, and if they win, they will advance to the playoffs to face Memphis. If they lose, they will have another chance against the winner of the New Orleans and Oklahoma City play-in game.

The Lakers take on Minnesota Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Crypto.com Arena.
