LAPD cracks down on street takeovers, makes more than a dozen arrests

LAPD's Street Racing Taskforce arrested 21 suspects and impounded 13 vehicles in a crackdown on street takeovers in Los Angeles over the weekend. The operation aimed to eliminate dangerous and disruptive activities, as illegal street racing has been linked to several deadly crashes in the area. Misdemeanor charges were filed against the arrested individuals, and 34 citations were issued. The crackdown comes after a suspected street racing crash killed a 28-year-old woman in Pomona last week.


Over a dozen people were arrested and 13 cars impounded in Los Angeles during a street takeover crackdown. The specific locations of the crackdown were not disclosed by the LAPD. This comes after a suspected street racing crash in Pomona left a 28-year-old woman dead last week.
