LAPD Investigates Shooting at Illegal Casino in Hollywood Hills

Los Angeles Police Department searches for two suspects involved in a fatal shooting at an illegal casino in Hollywood Hills.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is actively investigating a shooting incident that took place at an illegal casino in the Hollywood Hills during the early hours of Wednesday morning. Multiple reports of shots fired on Cahuenga Boulevard prompted a swift response from the LAPD.

According to preliminary findings, two masked and armed individuals entered the establishment through the back entrance, where they confronted a security guard. The guard attempted to draw his firearm, but before he could discharge it, he was fatally shot by one or both of the suspects.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and pronounced the 33-year-old security guard deceased. His identity has not yet been released by authorities.

The LAPD believes that the motive behind the suspects’ entry into the club was an intended robbery, as investigations reveal that the hookah lounge served as a front for an underground casino engaged in high-stakes gambling.

Local business employees in the vicinity of the club had expressed suspicions about illicit activities occurring within the premises. Cahuenga Boulevard was temporarily closed at Oakshire Drive as investigators combed the area for potential surveillance footage and other vital clues.

The LAPD is urging anyone with information regarding the shooting, the illegal casino operation, or the identities of the two suspects to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
