Las Vegas Man Arrested in Connection with String of Los Angeles Sexual Assaults

A man from Las Vegas has been arrested on suspicion of a series of sexual assaults in the Los Angeles area, with authorities concerned that there may be more victims.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that 45-year-old Matthew Werner was arrested on 28 February in connection with a number of rapes across various parts of the city. Werner, originally from Massachusetts, is alleged to have used different names on dating apps and social media platforms to target women.

Since his arrest, five women have come forward alleging that Werner sexually assaulted them within the city of Los Angeles. Authorities are now appealing for anyone with further information to come forward. Werner is currently being held on $3 million bail.
