The Los Angeles Rams selected TCU guard Steve Avila in the second round of the NFL draft to address their issues with injuries and lack of versatility on the offensive line.
Avila, who played every position except left tackle during his five seasons with the Horned Frogs, did not allow a sack during his last two seasons in college and earned consensus All-America honors at left guard as a redshirt senior in 2022.
The Rams hope that Avila’s versatility and skills can help them improve their offensive line, which was a major factor in their dismal defense of their Super Bowl title.
