Local cosmetics brand Nature Republic has selected idol group NCT 127 with a new face. Nature Republic, which has used influential models such as Rain, Jang Geun-seok, Kara, Shin Se-kyung, Taeyeon, and EXO, is drawing attention to whether it will be able to create a second takeoff period with NCT 127.

Nature Republic recently said it has signed an exclusive model contract with NCT 127. NCT 127 is the next-generation global target idol group pushed by SM Entertainment. It is expanding its presence not only in Korea but also abroad. It swept the No. 1 spot on local music charts and music broadcasts with its second full-length album “NCT #127 Neo Zone,” released in March. In 2019, he won the main prize in the 33rd Golden Disk Awards’ music category and was verified for his popularity and skills. It also proved its global popularity by posting its name for the fourth consecutive week after entering fifth place in the U.S. “Billboard 200” and second place in “Artist 100” on April 23.

NCT 127 is a domestic and global model representing Nature Republic, showcasing a variety of charms and plans to deliver a new and differentiated brand image. Nature Republic predicts that NCT 127 will greatly contribute to improving brand awareness and credibility as it has powerful fandom not only in Korea but also in the U.S. and Europe.

NCT 127 will begin its first move as a model for Nature Republic through a viral video of “CaliforniaAloeFreshPowderlySUNduo,” which is scheduled to be released later this month.

A Nature Republic official said, “The healthy energy and friendly charm of NCT 127 members have been selected as a new model in line with the concept of a naturalist brand.”

2021 marks the 11th anniversary of Nature Republic’s brand launch. It plans to wrap up the past decade well and challenge for a new heyday with new models.

An official from Nature Republic said, “NCT 127’s spirit of challenge, which continues to expand its stage around the world based on Seoul, the hub of K-POP, is in line with the brand’s direction,” adding, “We expect positive synergy in creating a chance for K-Beauty to make a leap forward.”
