Former NFL tight end Foster Moreau recently found himself facing a new opponent: cancer. The 25-year-old, who last played for the Las Vegas Raiders, revealed on social media that he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Moreau explained that he had learned of the diagnosis during a routine physical with the New Orleans Saints. With his health scare in mind, the former LSU star made the decision to step away from playing football.

Despite the challenges ahead, Moreau expressed gratitude for the support he has received. “There hasn’t been a single step I’ve taken without hundreds of people lighting the path before me, and I will continue to seek their guidance,” he said in a statement on social media.

Moreau had played four seasons in the NFL, all with the Raiders. In the 2022 season, he recorded 420 receiving yards on 33 catches and two touchdowns.
