Nine indicted in federal drug trafficking conspiracy spanning 2,000 miles

DOJ, Volusia County Sheriff, and Flagler County Sheriff announced the indictment of nine people in a drug trafficking conspiracy spanning from Arizona and California to Florida. The alleged ring brokered deals with Mexico to transport methamphetamine and cocaine to the US, then used commercial trucks to transport them to Central Florida. The suspects face a minimum of five years to life in prison if convicted. Search warrants conducted in October 2022 led to the seizure of 98 pounds of meth, five pounds of cocaine, nine guns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
