Nine individuals are facing charges for drug trafficking after allegedly conspiring to transport methamphetamine and cocaine from Arizona and California to Florida.
The drug trafficking ring reportedly brokered deals with counterparts in Mexico and used commercial trucks to transport drugs to Central Florida. Search warrants conducted in October 2022 resulted in the seizure of 98 pounds of meth and five pounds of cocaine, along with nine guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
The defendants face a minimum of five years in prison and up to life if convicted. Two individuals, suspected of brokering deals with people in Mexico, have been arrested and are awaiting extradition to Florida.
