The posts contained messages expressing love and farewell, leading to concerns about Morant’s well-being. However, a spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Morant is fine and explained that he informed them he is taking a break from social media.
This incident comes after Morant’s recent suspension from team activities due to a video showing him holding a gun, which was his second firearms-related incident on social media within three months. The suspension could have significant financial consequences for Morant, as it may impact his lucrative five-year, $194 million contract set to begin in the upcoming season.
