Samsung is releasing a limited edition Galaxy edition that collaborated with global idol group BTS.
Samsung on the 2nd, videos announcing the launch of the Galaxy BTS Edition were released on Samsung Electronics’ SNS
Three videos were uploaded: the images of BTS members, seven purple hearts symbolizing them, and a device marked with purple hearts and Samsung logo.
The video was introduced along with the words “It’s time to believe,” “Can you feel our heartbeat?” and “Best of all, say hello to us.”
The last video ends with the phrase ‘Find your purple on July 9.’
Purple is the symbolic color of BTS and global fan club ARMY, and the Galaxy BTS Edition is expected to be released on July 9 on the same day when ARMY’s name is set.
It is not yet known what kind of product Galaxy BTS Edition is. Samsung Electronics is going to hold preorders from 19th to 9th of July.
Many predicted that Samsung Electronics would combine BTS with a limited edition Galaxy product.
In February, Samsung Electronics unveiled a photo of BTS member V wearing a wireless earphone Galaxy Buzz Plus at the Galaxy Unpack. Since then, he has formed an official partnership with BTS and has also been selected as an advertising model for the Galaxy S20.
