Standoff at West Hollywood apartment complex ends with empty unit

A barricade situation at a West Hollywood apartment complex ended with law enforcement finding an empty unit after hours-long standoff with a suspect who fired multiple rounds. The suspect, identified as Joshua Findley, is considered a "person of interest" in the case and is being searched for. The victim of the initial shooting was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hours of attempts to remove the suspect from the unit were unsuccessful. When the authorities finally entered the apartment, they found it empty with no sign of the suspect, but his pets were inside. The reason for the situation is still unclear.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the case is asked to call detectives at LASD’s Hollywood Station.
