The founder of Sober Grid, a digital health company, Beau Mann, was reported missing after he got into an Uber ride on November 30, 2021, and stopped at a 7/Eleven. He texted 911 while in the Uber and was dropped off in Santa Monica. A year and a half later, Mann’s remains were found in a courtyard area near an abandoned building in Santa Monica. His family confirmed his identity through dental records, but the cause of his death is still unknown.
Mann was described as a “beautiful soul” who dedicated his life to helping others struggling with addiction. His company, Sober Grid, has saved thousands of lives and will continue to do so. The Los Angeles County Coroner is still investigating Mann’s death, and anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.
