First K-pop girl group to appear in the original YouTube series.
YouTube will showcase its original series “TWICE: Seize the Light,” featuring nine-member girl group TWICE from JYP Entertainment. The series, which consists of eight films, will be released to 81 regions around the world starting with the much-awaited first episode on the 29th.
“TWICE: Seeds the Light” is a real documentary about the beginning, present and future of TWICE. From the trainee days of the nine members to their intense growth diaries, challenges to new stages, and honest minds, you can meet various aspects.
Twice recently released teasers and official trailers through its official YouTube channel, raising fans’ expectations around the world.
TWICE proved itself to be a “K-pop flagship girl group” by appearing exclusively on YouTube’s original for the first time in girl group history. K-pop leader JYP Entertainment and the world’s largest video platform YouTube are expected to meet to display strong global synergy.
Before Twice, YouTube had partnered with leading K-pop artists such as Big Bang, TVXQ, Super Junior and BTS, followed by a collaboration with Twice in 2020.
The long-awaited first episode will be released at 11 p.m. on April 29 in domestic time, and the next episode will be opened sequentially every Wednesday night at 11 p.m. YouTube Premium subscribers will be able to watch all eight episodes on the 29th when their first episode will be released.
Earlier in the day, TWICE will hold live streaming on its official YouTube channel at 2 p.m. on Friday to mark its solo appearance on YouTube’s original. The event will be broadcast live online, and the members will also have time to answer and communicate questions from media and fans around the world.
