Young Child Shot in South Los Angeles; Police Seek Suspects

Police in South Los Angeles are on the lookout for two suspects after a young girl, possibly as young as one year old, was shot near a local burger restaurant. The child is in stable condition.

In the Florence area of South Los Angeles, a young girl was shot near the intersection of 75th Street and Towne Avenue, as reported around 5:40 p.m. on Monday. The Los Angeles Police Department stated that the child may be as young as one year old. Authorities have launched a search for two suspects involved in the incident.

According to officials, the suspects were driving a silver Kia Optima with Texas license plates. Both suspects are described as men in their mid-20s, one wearing a black jacket and the other wearing a gray jacket. At the scene, police recovered ammunition of .40 caliber and 9mm.

The injured child was swiftly transported to the hospital. While officials stated that she is believed to be in stable condition, they did not disclose the severity of her injuries.
