Bradley Beal Faces Police Investigation After Altercation with Fans

Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is under investigation for simple battery after allegedly hitting a fan who insulted him at a basketball game.

Bradley Beal, the Washington Wizards’ star, is facing a police investigation after allegedly swatting a hat off a fan’s head in Florida.

The incident occurred following a game between the Wizards and Orlando Magic on March 21st. According to the police report, two fans were waiting in the visitor’s tunnel to meet the players when one yelled, “you made me lose $1,300 you f***.” Officers say Beal approached the fans and swatted the hat off one of their heads, hitting him.

The incident was captured on video, and police say the alleged victim desires prosecution in the case. The case report states that probable cause exists to charge Beal with Simple Battery. The Washington Wizards issued a statement saying that they were aware of the situation and would not comment until more information was gathered.

Beal, 29, was drafted by the Wizards in 2012 and is a three-time NBA All-Star.
