Children’s book author charged with husband’s murder

Utah author Kouri Richins, who wrote a book on grief after her husband's death, is now charged with his murder.

Kouri Richins, a Utah author who wrote a children’s book to help kids cope with grief after her husband’s death, has been charged with his murder. Prosecutors allege that Richins poisoned her husband with a lethal dose of fentanyl at their home in Kamas, a small mountain town near Park City.

Richins faces additional charges related to the alleged possession of GHB. The charges come just two months after Richins appeared on a local TV show to promote her book “Are You With Me?” and described how her husband’s death sent her and her three boys reeling. Richins’ attorney declined to comment on the charges.
