Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted After Fatally Striking Woman in Koreatown

A hit-and-run driver killed a woman in Koreatown and fled the scene. A $50K reward is offered for info leading to an arrest.

Tragedy struck in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood on Tuesday when a female pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the driver of a 2005 silver Nissan Altima hit the woman around 5:15 a.m. near W. 1st Street and S. Westmoreland Avenue and then fled the scene.

Despite being taken to the hospital, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The LAPD has yet to release her identity.

The search is on for the hit-and-run driver, with a reward of up to $50,000 being offered for information leading to their identification, arrest, and conviction. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the LAPD at 877-LAPD-247.
