It’s been a while since we came back. We are back with great songs to show you an outstanding performance.

Q. You guys are back after a long time with DAY6 (Even of Day). Please share your feelings about releasing this album and say a word about your feelings about coming back!

WONPIL

Since DAY6’s album, we are back with DAY6’s (Even of Day) unit album. I hope that one of you will feel happy or comforted by listening to the album. I’m so excited to show you a good performance this time. Please look forward to it.

# about__Right Through Me

Q. You are releasing an EP with seven songs again. How is it different from your previous album, The Book of Us: Gluon – Nothing can Tear Us Apart? Is there a link between the two albums?

Young K

As the album is named “The Book of Us: Gluon – Nothing can Tear Us Apart,” it is a part of “The Book of Us” series, but apart from that, the album itself felt like it was connected from beginning to the end, We tried to write freely making music in this album.

Q. It’s not easy to release an EP with seven tracks every time, but you guys are writing lyrics and composing songs by yourself. What were the most inspirational materials for preparing this album?

WONPIL

We think ‘Hope’ was the most thing we wanted to show in this album. Through the tracks in the album, we talked a lot about hope in life.

Q. Since it’s your second album, you must have put more effort than before. Is there a track, specific lyrics, or melody you are most attached to in this album?

DOWOON

Personally, I liked “WALK” the most. This track doesn’t miss a thing, especially the hopeful atmosphere and singing along later on in the song.

Young K

Of course, the title track, “Right Through Me,” is the best song, but I like “At the End of Tragedy,” which has words that are not usually used lyrically. And I was surprised by “Home Alone” because I could draw the image in my head from the track’s intro, and WONPIL wrote the lyrics.

WONPIL

I really liked the last track, “LOVE PARADE.” This track made my heartbeat when I first heard it. It’s a song that made me excited from the start to finish.

# about__DAY6 and Behind Stories

Q. Since DAY6 (Even of Day) is a team that writes and composes songs together, is there a secret to strengthening your teamwork or a tip to collaborate together?

DOWOON

I think communicating with each other is the most important thing. We learn from each other through conversations, and we get to know each other better.

Young K

To acknowledge each other. There are times when our teamwork is good and bad, but when it’s not good, we admit it. I think it’s okay unless the base of thinking of each other is there.

WONPIL

I think it’s great teamwork already to be able to say this in the first place.

Q. I believe you all miss doing live performances due to the Pandemic. If you meet your fans after the Pandemic, what song would you like to sing for your fans?

WONPIL

I think we are all on the same page with this.

DOWOON, Young K, WONPIL

One, two, three, “Time of Our Life.”

DOWOON

Wow, why is that? I personally think the keyboard part.

WONPIL

No~before that. I think the song starts with excitement from your counter.

DOWOON

And even the verse lyrics are, “I’ll be honest with you, I’ve waited a long time.”

WONPIL

Yeah! It’s the whole thing!

Young K

Actually, this song was written thinking of performing in the first place.

WONPIL

Yes, definitely.

Young K

And the lyrics itself are, “A page of our beautiful youth, Let’s write it together.”

WONPIL

This is what we’ve been talking about before. It would be great to start the stage with “Time of Our Life.”

Q. What else have you spent the most time doing since the release of your first EP last year?

WONPIL

I have been resting at home a lot. I played games and made music. 

Young K

And DAY6 album was released in the middle.

DOWOON

WONPIL was in a musical.

WONPIL

DOWOON was in a variety show, and Young K did DJ’ing.

Q. Please leave a word to the fans who have been waiting for this album!

DOWOON

We wanted to meet you so soon, so we are back with our Hyeongs songs. We will do our best to perform these great songs live so that you can sing along with us someday. Please look forward to it.

#about_Future and Plans

Q. If you could go on a trip, where do you most want to go?

DOWOON

I would like to go fishing to the East Sea, or Gangwon-do.

Young K

I would like to visit my home in Toronto.

WONPIL

I would go to Jeju Island. I’ve never been there on vacation, except when we were there for a schedule.

DOWOON

Hope you go.

WONPIL

There are so many great places in Jeju.

WONPIL

Yeah, I really want to go.

Young K

Hope you enjoy Jeju.

WONPIL

Yes, thanks.

Q. In 2021, is there a goal you want to achieve as DAY6 (Even of Day) or personally?

Young K

I don’t know..2021 or 2020..not a lot has changed. I hope we can make good music and come out with a better look. And most of all I hope we are happy and healthy, and also have fun together.

WONPIL

I felt the same way. I think if we should be happy and healthy to show our best to My Days.

DOWOON

My goal is to be a rational person because I’m an emotional person.
