The nonprofit Kids in the Spotlight has opened a production studio, KITS Production Studio, in Van Nuys to empower at-risk and foster youth.
The studio, equipped with sets such as a classroom and kitchen, allows the youth to create their own projects without having to rent a space.
Actor Ty Burrell, who has worked with KITS for 10 years, encourages creators to rent the location for their own projects and hire foster youth for their production needs.
With over 40,000 youth in foster care in Los Angeles, KITS has been connecting them with the Hollywood industry for over a decade to create their own films.
