Nashville shooting: Students protest gun violence as police investigate motive As Nashville students protested gun violence at the Tennessee Capitol following a school shooting, police revealed the shooter had planned the massacre for months.

The motive for the attack at The Covenant School remains unclear. The shooter, Audrey Hale, was a former student. Hale killed six people, including three children aged nine, before police shot her dead.

The police and FBI are currently reviewing Hale’s notes, and authorities have not yet identified a motive for the shootings.

The student-led protest called for a ban on assault weapons, tougher background checks, and a “red flag” law.
