Mr. Feeny and his former students reunite for his 96th birthday

William Daniels, known for his role as Mr. Feeny on "Boy Meets World," celebrated his 96th birthday with his former co-stars at a dinner in Chicago.

William Daniels, better known as Mr. Feeny from the beloved television show “Boy Meets World,” celebrated his 96th birthday on March 31st with a group of his former co-stars. According to People, the cast got together for a celebratory dinner before their appearance at the 2023 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo.

The event was a reunion for Daniels and his former “students,” including Will Friedle, Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong, Trina McGee-Davis, and Anthony Tyler Quinn. A post on the Pod Meets World Instagram page read, “The gang was honored to celebrate 96 years with the legendary Bill Daniels, in-person at Chicago’s @theloyalistchicago. What a life, what an icon.”

Daniels’ wife Bonnie Bartlett Daniels was also present at the birthday dinner, and the actor shared a photo of the two of them with a cupcake topped with “96” number candles on his Instagram the following day.

The cast of “Boy Meets World” has remained close over the years and often reunites for special occasions. In September, they will be back together again for the 30th anniversary of the show’s debut at the Tampa Bay Comic Con.

In a previous interview with People, Friedle, Strong, and Fishel spoke about their experience working with Daniels on the show. Strong shared, “When we were kids, goofing off and having a good time, he was very much a Feeny-like presence. Even when the cameras weren’t there, in terms of knowing his lines, being a complete professional, being on time. Those were things that we needed to see, and had to learn to emulate in order to be professionals in the industry.”

It’s heartwarming to see the cast of “Boy Meets World” come together to celebrate their mentor and friend on his special day. Here’s to many more years of Mr. Feeny and his former students keeping in touch and supporting one another.
