A passenger on an Asiana Airlines flight in South Korea opened an emergency exit door, claiming suffocation as the reason.

A passenger aboard an Asiana Airlines Airbus A321 flight in South Korea opened an emergency exit door, causing air to rush into the cabin and resulting in slight injuries to twelve individuals. The incident occurred as the plane approached Daegu airport after departing from Jeju island.

The 33-year-old passenger, who was detained by police, stated that he felt suffocated and wanted to exit the aircraft quickly. Reports suggest that the man had been under stress after losing his job.

The motive is currently under investigation, and if convicted, the passenger could face up to 10 years in prison for violating aviation security laws. The plane was carrying 194 people, including teenage athletes en route to a track and field competition.
