The Louvre Museum said it would release 482,000 pieces of its collection for free on its newly opened website (collections.louvre.fr). The museum has been closed since October 30, 2020, due to the spread of COVID 19.
Louvre Museum said. “For the first time in the history of the museum, we’re going to release the entire Louvre collection online; it’s not only about the artwork on display, but it’s about all the pieces on display, but it’s about both the rental and the archive. This includes the collection of Delacroix National Museum, sculptures by Tuileries and Carrousel.
⚠️ Conformément aux directives gouvernementales, le musée du #Louvre et le #MuséeDelacroix sont fermés jusqu'à nouvel ordre.
