
(PRESSREELS) BTS’ online performance “BANG BANG CON THE LIVE” has reached the Guinness World Record as the largest viewer of a live streaming concert.
Guinness World Records said on its Web site on July 22 (local time) that BTS has achieved a new Guinness World Record for its live streaming music concert seen by the largest number of viewers.
“BANG BANG CON” is BTS’s first paid online performance held on the 14th of last month. The members performed 12 songs for about 100 minutes and fans around the world watched them live.
At that time, up to 756,000 people from more than 100 countries were connected at the same time. The figure is equivalent to 15 stadium performances that can accommodate more than 50,000 people.
“It is the largest paid online concert in the world,” said Big Hit Entertainment.
BTS holds several Guinness World Records for being the first Korean singer to top the U.S. album chart and for selling the most albums in Korea.
