In a recent incident, a Placentia Police Department officer shot an alleged stalking suspect at a Fullerton shopping center. The suspect is expected to survive.

According to Sgt. Joe Connell of the Placentia Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding a stalking suspect at around 5:52 p.m. on Tuesday. They found the suspect in the 3300 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard and attempted to detain him. However, this resulted in the officer opening fire and shooting him.

The suspect was rushed to a trauma center and is currently in stable condition. Thankfully, no officers were injured during the incident.
