Luke Bryan will not be filming ‘American Idol’ first live episode on Monday, April 12. He has tested positive for COVID-19. Instead of Bryan former American Idol judge Paula Abdul will be stepping in as a temporary replacement.

‘American Idol’ continues with host Ryan Seacrest, to be the first live of the season. Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be front and center to weigh in on the state of the competition. The first live episode of American Idol airs the 12 8 pm to 10 pm ET on ABC.
