Big Hit Entertainment, a.k.a the home of BTS, will move to new headquarters at the Yongsan Trade Center in Seoul, South Korea. The expectations for this new project are high, specially after the company’s decision to change their name and re-brand themselves. K-Pop fanatics and the industry are excited about the improvements, but still there’s some time to wait. The plans to move out are for May, and the official name’s change will take effect on March 30th after a shareholders’ meeting.

Some industry sources confirmed that the building’s construction is almost completed, but the interior is still in process and it’s being supervised by the Firm’s Chief Brand Officer Min Hee-Jin. It is planed to have bigger offices to accommodate its sprawling subsidiaries and employees, but it will be also a fans friendly space. It will be expected to have feature facilities such as cafés and merchandise shops. At the moment, some offices interior designs sneak peeks are available, but the spaces for fans are still on the way.

Some people say that it is a not so logical decision to move to Yongsan when many talent agencies are located in Gangnam. The new area is well known as a business district as it connects Seoul’s key financial and business districts such as Yeouido and Gwanghwamun. The old building was a good location for fans because it was near the Gimpo International Airport. In other words, it allowed easy access for domestic and international fans to visit the company as a touristic activity. Plus, it was near three subway stations that were ideal for trainees.
Yet, for some people this new address might be ideal after listening to the new logo and name’s explanation. HYBE plans to become into a music-based entertainment lifestyle company. Plus, Big Hit’s Chief Executive Bang Si-Hyuck shared that the company needed to embrace all the commercial areas that they are covering. It is all about connecting and expanding. However, the new name is not official yet. At the end of March, shareholders will meet and approve the new name and the new organizational structure.
The company’s organization is made up of HYBE HQ and HYBE America that features three main parts:
- HYBE Labels, for music and artist management
- Big Hit Music
- Belift Studios
- Source music
- Pledis Entertainment
- KOZ Entertainment
- HYBE Labels Japan
- HYBE Solutions, for new technology ventures such as gaming, intellectual property, education, and more.
- HYBE 360
- HYBE IP
- HYBE Edu
- Superb
- HYBE Solutions Japan
- HYBE T&D Japan
- HYBE Platforms, to connect their services to the public.
- For now Weverse is the only global platform

In addition, the new logo symbolizes “starts with music, variates, and expands“. Also, the new slogan “We believe in music” is portrayed on the logo by the placement of two vertical bars that connect the blank space where music can be found, meaning the connection, expansion and relationships. All this to make clear that the company believes in the power of music and the spreading of positive influence and bring changes to lifestyles.
It all began after a series of business ventures and global partnerships by Big Hit Entertainment. Also, let’s not forget that in October 2020, the company went public and announced BTS as shareholders. For more detailed explanation, Big Hit Labels on their YouTube Channel uploaded the 38 minutes brand presentation where they show in detail the new plans for the new name, logo, slogan and the organizational structure. Big Hit’s Chief Executive Bang Si-Hyuk ensures that all these improvements will allow the company to start a new journey by settling a new mission with the same fundamentals.
