Billboard unveiled “10 Top Artists of the 2010s Decade.” The list was selected by compiling all the data compiled by Billboard over the past decade, including Billboard chart records, social media data, and performance records.
The tally period is from 5 December 2009 to 28 September 2019. However, the Social 50 chart, which began on December 11, 2010, and the Hot Dance/Electronic Music and Streaming Music chart, which was launched on January 26, 2013, were excluded from the tally.
According to the data compiled, Drake was the best artist of the 2010s. Since his debut on the “Billboard” chart in 2009, he has topped the “Billboard” 200 chart nine times and topped the “Billboard” Hot 100 chart six times, and has achieved top-notch performance in most areas, including social media data, Billboard box points, and tour revenue. Taylor Swift came in second, Bruno Mars in third, followed by Rihanna, Adele and Ed Sheeran.
