BTS topped the Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart for the 46th time, becoming the artist to record the most No.1s on the chart.
According to the chart on Tuesday, BTS’s English-lyric megahit “Butter,” which was released in May, topped the Digital Song Sales chart for the 18th non-consecutive week.
BTS previously tied American pop star Taylor Swift, with 45 weeks at No.1 on the chart.
BTS’s 2020 hit “Dynamite” also topped the Digital Song Sales chart on 18 occasions.

“Butter” has helped the boy band set numerous records this year, such as topping the Billboard Hot 100 a total of 10 times to become this year’s longest-reigning No.1 song on the chart, as well as the song to score the most No. 1s by an Asian artist in Billboard history. BTS’ long-running hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter” and “Permission to Dance” made a big splash on the Japan charts, and the global superstars have also topped Billboard Japan’s year-end Artist 100 tally, which combines points from the comprehensive song and album charts
