Rapper DMX died at the age of 50. DMX suffered a heart attack on April 2 and was transferred to the hospital and continued treatment by resorting to life support devices. Eventually, however, his brain function did not recover, and he died at White Plains Hospital in New York while his family watched. DMX’s bereaved family issued an official statement to inform him of his death, and his agency, Def Jam Recordings, also announced his obituary.
Since his mid-teens, DMX was born in Yonkers, New York, USA in 1970, and has developed his dream as an artist. He began to attract attention when he was featured in <The Source> magazine in 1991 and debuted with the single “Born Loser” through Columbia Records in 1992. Since the mid-1990s with a unique husky voice rap, <It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot>, <…And Then There Was X> and other albums succeeded in succession and gained popularity. It is reported that in 2019, he signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings again, which was in its prime, and until recently, he was preparing a new album after six years. He also continued his acting activities through works such as <Romeo Must Die>, <Belly>, and <Cradle 2 the Grave>.
