Tesla enthusiasts and automotive publication Electrek reported on the leaked photos that seem to be of a prototype Cybertruck, sharing them with the “Cybertruck Owners Club” forum on the 24th.
Until now, the interior of the Cybertruck had remained a mystery.
The revealed photos offer a close look at the steering wheel and the driver’s seat of the Cybertruck.
The steering wheel appears to have a design that combines elements of Tesla’s existing models, with a mix of the yoke and circular steering wheel seen in the Model S and Model X. Additionally, it seems that the center console space between the driver’s seat and the passenger seat cannot be converted into a center seat.
Tesla is gearing up for Cybertruck production this summer, with the aim of delivering the first units by the end of the third quarter.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, mentioned during the Q1 earnings call last month, “We expect Cybertruck production to start this summer” and added that “mass production will be difficult until next year.”
As the anticipation builds for the release of the Cybertruck, these leaked interior photos provide a glimpse into the innovative design and features that Tesla has in store for its highly-anticipated electric pickup truck.
