After nine years, My Chemical Romance finally announced a reunion tour.
Fans will be amazed by this announcement. Weeks after they had a sold-out reunion concert at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, they announced that they would be heading out across the US for their first tour in 9 years.
It will start on September 9 in Detroit and on October 11 in Las Vegas.
The reunion tour was launched through a film that has the title “A summoning…” that shows music from Ray Toro and James Muhoberac.
A young boy that has paranormal interests and dark arts was trying to outrun masked men, while the scenes around were related to the different eras of the history of the band. The boy is guided through 5 doors, which meant one for each album, and the fifth door remains a mystery.
This particular video announcement is a 13-minute run from their YouTube channel.
My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013. They performed overseas included shows in England; 65,000 tickets were sold out in less than an hour. This band was formed in Newark, New Jersey, and made an independent debut album “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love” in 2002.
It 2004, they had their major debut “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” which was 3x certified Platinum. IT contained their platinum hit “I’m Not Okay,” and the gold hits “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.”
The band first announced their reunion in the fall of last year. They will also be playing in Australia, New Zealand, UK, and Europe before conquering the USA this spring and summer. Suzy Exposito of the Rolling Stones mentioned, “[I]t’s with this landmark concert that MCR ceases to be a nostalgic act, and proves its mettle as a timeless, rock & roll band for the ages.”
