Netflix has purchased the Sequels 2 & 3 of the mystery “Nives Out” for $450 million, <Variety> reported. The unprecedented amount is the highest ever transaction amount for a film series.
“Knives Out,” tells the story of a best-selling mystery writer found dead on his 85th birthday, and police and Detective Benoit Blanc is dispatched to investigate the cause. The work was produced with a budget of $40 million, and since then it has earned $311.4 million. Netflix is known to have purchased the rights to the sequel to gain the upper hand in the increasingly fierce competition.
“Knives Out 2” will begin filming in Greece, and casting will be completed soon.
