Prince Charles is now out of isolation and is of good health after he has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
The heir to the British throne and is in isolation in the residence of Scotland has been reported according to a royal source that “Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, the Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation.”
He has stayed in the Birkhall home on the royal Balmoral estate.
The seven days isolation period following the medical guidelines in the UK have already been finished. Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, is still in her self-isolation and observe if symptoms would occur.
According to the UK guidelines -anyone with symptoms should self-isolate for seven days, while everyone living in their household should self-isolate for two weeks.
It has been known before that the Prince had only mild symptoms during the confirmation of the virus that was reported by the Clarence House. There is still no definite notion as to where he caught it from, and he recently had a lot of public events before the diagnosis.
The last encounter with the Queen was on March 12 at the palace in London during the investiture ceremony for public awards.
Likewise, the 93-year-old Queen canceled all her engagements and resided to the Windsor Castle for the Easter period. Public events which the Queen and other Royal family members which they planned to attend have been postponed and or canceled, including the annual Maundy Service at St. George’s Chapel as announced the Buckingham Palace.
During the past week, many of the senior officials in Great Britain have been tested positive for the virus including Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
As of the writing, the virus has killed 159 people in England, 6 in Scotland and 14 in Wales and 1 in Ireland. There have been 9000 positive cases of the novel coronavirus. The total number of deaths in the UK reached already 1,228.
One who died is Amged El-Harani, an ENT consultant at the Queen’s Hospital Burton. Another organ transplant consultant also died after testing positive for the said novel coronavirus.
On Monday, Dominic Cummings, the chief advisor to the Prime Minister, has some symptoms related to the virus and is currently at home doing home isolation too.
A total of 20,000 former NHS staff went back to work to help combat the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Prime Minister, the country would get through the crisis together.
1 in 4 doctors are off from their jobs at the moment because of symptoms and isolation due to different reasons, like family members have symptoms.
Also, in Northern Ireland, some 200 inmates were earlier released from prison, specifically for those whose sentences will end soon. The Scottish government is also considering the same measures while England and Wales are still talking about some other options such as early release and transfer of prisons to other sites.
