Samsung is ‘debating’ whether to merge Galaxy S and Note lineup or not

Samsung just unveiled its latest flagship smartphone to the world as the Galaxy Note 10 series last month. Now, this was the second smartphone series to be launched by the company as the Galaxy S10 series was already launched at the beginning of this year. While we know that both the smartphone series have done well for the company, we are getting some contrasting reports. Although the Galaxy Note 10, as well as the S10 series, has been loved by people, Samsung is thinking of merging both these lineups.

Now, this report comes from a professional leaker by the name of Evan Blass who has been extremely accurate in the past. He says that this is still “tentative” which means that to implement this or not is up for debate. But he also says that there are plans internally that the Samsung Galaxy Note lineup be scrapped. Instead, Samsung might release the Galaxy S lineup along with an S Pen which is loved by fans on the Note series.

Apart from that, it is also known that the merger between Galaxy Note and Galaxy S lineup will have a branding change too. Apparently, Samsung is thinking of naming the new smartphone lineup as “Samsung One”. Blass also mentions that this smartphone could be launched in the first half of the year. We believe that Samsung might launch this around the same time as it does with the Galaxy S lineup.

Evan also mentions that a lot of things depend on the success of Galaxy Fold in the market. If the Galaxy Fold becomes a hit in the market, Samsung might launch a successor to the Galaxy Fold in the second half of the year when the Galaxy Note launches. This means that we are going to see massive shakeups in the lineup of smartphones released by Samsung. While nothing is certain for the time being, we will let you know if we find something concrete.
