The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 14th that the ‘2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week’ will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Seoul Fashion Week will feature a total of 31 brands, including 23 from Seoul, 7 up-and-coming designers, and 1 from a domestic company. The event will open on the 15th with a collection fashion show by the upcycling brand ‘ul:kin’ and a photocall event attended by Seoul’s deputy mayor for political affairs and New Jeans, the global public relations ambassador for the event.
The event will feature a trade show with order/contract consultation, networking, and seminars, which will be attended by more than 1,100 fashion officials, including 67 domestic designer brands, 100 buyers from online platforms and department stores in Korea, and 130 buyers from 23 countries. There will also be a ‘Meet-Up’ event for open cooperation between companies and designers, with seven designer brands seeking collaboration with six companies.
The finale stage will showcase three representative works of all participating brands, followed by a performance by musical actor Kang Hong-seok. The event will also feature a live studio with fashion influencers and an AI photo zone at DDP Oullim Square, where visitors can indirectly experience the fashion show runway.
The stage design has been changed, with Art Hall 1 featuring a circular stage to provide a more lively audience experience, and Art Hall 2 installed large LEDs to maximize visual beauty.
