Taiwanese brand ASUS has recently launched five new premium consumer laptops, including the world’s thinnest 13-inch laptop. With this move, ASUS aims to expand its share in the premium consumer laptop market, after becoming the top player in the commercial laptop market in Taiwan last year, beating Samsung and LG.
At the global online product launch event called “Thincredible,” ASUS unveiled five new laptops, including the ZenBook S 13 OLED, ZenBook 15 OLED, VivoBook S 15/14 OLED, and VivoBook S 15 OLED Vapor Edition.
The ZenBook S 13 OLED, touted as the world’s thinnest 13-inch laptop, boasts a slim body measuring just 1cm in thickness and weighing only 1kg. It is made of eco-friendly materials such as recycled plastic and features a Plasma ceramic aluminum material on the top panel, which is 100% recyclable. The laptop has received the highest Gold rating from the US electronic product environmental assessment tool (EPEAT) and Energy Star certification from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
In addition to the eco-friendly features, the laptops are equipped with Intel’s high-performance Evo certification, offering powerful performance and efficiency. The ZenBook S 13 OLED comes with the latest Intel 13th generation i7-1355U processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics, along with ASUS’s Lumina OLED display technology.
ASUS’s latest product launch aims to challenge Samsung and LG’s dominance in the premium consumer laptop market, with its slim and eco-friendly laptops featuring powerful performance and high-quality displays.
