U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been stepping up pressure on China in the wake of the COVID 19 incident, has extended a one-year ban on Chinese telecommunications equipment maker Huawei.
President Trump’s remarks also mean that China should implement the first phase of the trade agreement, which includes purchasing an additional $200 billion worth of U.S. goods over the next two years.
Asked whether he would “break the first-phase trade agreement with China and resume negotiations,” Trump said at a White House press conference on the 11th, “I’m not interested at all.”
